FasciAshi Clinical: Neck
BOOM! We've just unveiled a brand new class: the FasciAshi Clinical: Neck specialty track class! Co-authored by myself, (Jeni Spring) and Julie Marciniak, this class has been meticulously crafted and tested to perfection. Originally penned in early 2019, we've rigorously trialed the techniques in our local practices, refining them for optimal efficacy. After successful trial classes with massage therapists in both North Carolina and Texas, we're thrilled to share this innovative offering with you!
So, what's in store? In just one exhilarating day, we'll equip you with the skills to address symptoms of whiplash, forward head posture, and chronic cervical pain stemming from postural issues. With two carefully designed protocols, each taking as little as 20-30 minutes to complete, you'll be empowered to tackle these issues head-on using a combination of your feet and hands with the client in supine, prone and side lying positions. Whether you're delving into injury-treatment insurance work or seeking efficient solutions for time-constrained sessions, these protocols are your go-to. Seamlessly integrate them into your existing sessions or utilize them for quick tune-ups – the choice is yours! Get ready to elevate your practice and revolutionize your approach to neck therapy.
Therapists will learn:
To increase efficiency in treating neck issues with a 20-30 minute protocol
Visually assess alignment of the Cervical spine in relation to Thoracic structures to know when to use this protocol
To palpate and manipulate specific muscles and structures that contribute to cervical positioning
To integrate new techniques with previously learned strokes from prerequisite Myofascial Ashiatsu Barefoot Massage training
1 day, 8 CE’s, $250. Prerequisite: FasciAshi Advanced
This class will only be taught by Jeni Spring & Julie Marciniak in 2024, so catch us when you see us offer it! If this class is taught offsite from the instructors usual home base, then the tuition will be $300
Touch-Ups
Join us for a 4-hour meet-up! Reconnect with the intricacies of each FasciAshi class through massage exchanges with fellow barefoot massage practitioners like yourself.
In these Instructor-supervised sessions, refine your body mechanics, receive personalized technique updates, and build confidence in your skills. Participants must have previously attended the designated core class for each Touch-Up session (Fundamentals, Fijian, Intermediate, ROM, Advanced).
Experience hands-on learning as you exchange massages with other trained practitioners, connect with fellow Barefoot Massage Therapists, and receive tailored support from the instructor and the group to enhance your success.
These will be rolling out as our instructor team has time and hears the demand for them, so if you are interested, let the Sole-Sister instructor team know!
4 hours, 4 CE’s. Prerequisite: attendance in the matching core class.
Pricing for this class is currently listed at $100, but may change after our first trial run next week!
Refresher classes are still available! Revisit any class you've attended before and join ongoing sessions. No CE credits or new manuals provided. Dive back into the material for $125/day, coordinated with each instructor.
Private mentoring is an option with each instructor. No new content is taught, and no CE credits are provided. Instead, receive fun, focused one-on-one time working on personalized clarification, refinement, and customization of your barefoot massage technique, body mechanics, and approach. Exciting news! While it may not be immediately apparent, there has been a significant behind-the-scenes update at the Center for Barefoot Massage. We are thrilled to announce that ownership has transitioned, marking a fresh chapter filled with enthusiasm and dedication to propel Barefoot Massage to even greater heights. Jeni Spring has assumed the role of sole owner of CBM, bringing a renewed sense of energy and vision. Meanwhile, our beloved co-founder, Mary-Claire Fredette, continues to be an integral part of our journey, delightfully remaining as an active instructor. She will continue to lead our renowned FasciAshi classes and instructor trainings with her usual passion and expertise. As we stride forward, we are filled with optimism and excitement for the future of massage - and rest assured, the Center for Barefoot Massage is committed to delivering unrivaled excellence every step of the way! The future of massage is a foot!
This new substack subscription service will be our newsletter, blog, and podcast all in one! We’ll continue to create long-form reading content monthly (Deep reads for deeper feets,) we’ll send these free newsletter updates (likely every-other-month) to keep your toes on the nose with our news, we will be adding new paid FEETures as the year develops, as well as free content to share and help educate your local community about the benefits of Barefoot Massage. Some of the content aimed more specifically towards Barefoot Massage therapists (like last months Barefoot Massage Challenge and the podcast) will be phased into a paid-subscription service. You can choose how much you consume, you can choose to pay for the deeper dives or not, and you can choose to either have all this content delivered to your email inbox, get notifications from the app if you download it, or just look at the latest post through a link when you think about it. Join in however you prefer!
